Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar palette

Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar palette retails for  $49- the exact same price as the original Chocolate Bar palette. The packaging changed a little bit . The Semi Sweet is a little thinner but still the same hard case with magnetic closure. It also has a nice size mirror inside, and like all Too Faced chocolate products it smells like chocolate:)

This palette contains warmer shades than in the original palette. Most of the shadows swatch very nicely and I noticed the apply so much better and look so much prettier on the lids then the swatches on hand. My favorite shades from this palette are: Peanut Butter, Bon Bon, Caramel and Blueberry Swirl.

The shades in the palette:

-Licorice -is a medium-dark black

Coconut Creme- is a light beige with warm,  yellow tones and a matte finish.

-Hot Fudge-is a  dark brown with a hint of gray and a frosted metallic finish.

-Cocoa Chili- is a dark brown with warm undertones and a matte finish with gold sparkles.

Pink Sugar -is a very  pale pink with a glittery finish. It looks best when applied over another eye shadow.

-Puddin’- is a medium-dark brown with a slight hint of gray and a matte finish.

-Blueberry Swirl- is a dark blue with a hint of black and purple to it . It is sheer , but can be layered to get a steel blue color.

Peanut Butter- is a medium orange with a hint of brown and a matte finish.

-Frosting -is a brown with warm orangy undertones and a frosted sheen.

-Rum Raisin- is a  medium taupe brown with warm undertones and a metallic finish.

Paula’s Choice Blush It On Contour Palette

Paula’s choice Paula’s Choice Blush It On Contour Palette ($36 ) contains six exclusive shades that are perfect for contouring the face and awakening any complexion.

First we have a pearly highlighter  that I love! It is not glittery and not too shimmery. It gives a perfect , subtle glow that isn’t too sparkly .

Delicate Coral is like the name says ,a perfect Coral shade. Gives a perfect, healthy color to the face.

Peony is a peachy pink shade. Very delicate and subtle. It has the weakest pigmentation of all of the blushes in this palette and a little patchy.

Bronze is a very nice bronze brown shade with slight red undertones. It is very smooth and velvety with great pigmentation.

Dusty Rose is a pretty pink shade with slight rosy undertone. It is similar to Peony but more pinky.

Soft Mauve is a burgundy mauve shade with great pigmentation and color payoff. It needs to be applied gently because it can apply patchy  if applied too much at once.

Overall I really , really like this palette. The blushes are matte and delicate which I prefer over very pigmented ones. They give a very natural look to your complexion without looking overdone. My favorites are the highlighter , the bronzer, and the Delicate Coral  blush as it is  very flattering and brightening on the skin.

You can buy it here

The palette is a very simple grey cardboard palette that is quite sleek and travel friendly. The palette is small ,measuring 5×3 inches.DSCN0951

LORAC PRO 2 Palette

LORAC PRO 2 palette  is identical in layout to the first iteration, with two rows of eight shadows each-one matte and one shimmer ,all packed in a gray case instead of black one. It comes with a mini 0.19 oz of LORAC Behind the Scenes eye primer, which is really good by the way.

I have to say I like this palette more than the previous Lorac pro. The eyeshadow colors are different from the original palette and a little more interesting to me .They are not to warm or to cool.

The eyeshadows are very pigmented and soft. Sometimes I think to soft. Especially the matte ones tend to be powdery so you need to be careful not to pick up to much of the product.

Now lets’ go to the colors description:

-Buff -a light, yellow-toned beige with a matte finish

Lt. Brown – as the name says it ,it is a light brown with warm undertones and matte finish.

Cool Gray – a neutral gray-taupe shade with matte finish.

Nectar -a light, muted peach with warm, orange undertones and a matte finish.

Plum – a dark, plummy purple with warm undertones and a matte finish.

Navy – dark, lightly brightened, navy blue with a matte finish and very tiny  shimmers spread throughout. You can’t see the shimmer when applied on the eye lids.

Charcoal – a medium-dark gray with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish.

-Black-black with matte finish.

Snow – neutral white with almost metallic finish.

Beige – a light peachy beige with warm undertones and a frosted finish.

Rose – a bright, metallic copper with warm undertones.

Mocha -a dark brown with warm, reddish undertones and a frosted finish. Beautifully pigmented !

Chrome – a medium taupe with  a slightly warm undertones and a frosted finish.

Silver -a medium, metallic silver with slightly warm undertones.

Jade – a dark, smoky forest green with warm undertones.

Cocoa is a dark red-brown with a semi matte finish and very soft shimmer. It is very rich in pigment but a little powdery.

EcoTools Face Brushes

After using Sigma face brushes and nor really liking them (especially the large powder brush which sheds like crazy) I decided to try EcoTools brushes.

I bought all of the brushes I’m reviewing with my own money and this is my honest opinion on them.

EcoTools brushes are made from soft, cruelty free bristles and sleek bamboo handles.I personally like the design .It looks clean and… eco:)

Large Powder Brush – I needed a powder brush so badly and I’m so glad I picked the EcoTools one! It is very soft and excellent quality. The powder goes on smoothly and evenly ,and it doesn’t shed!

Stippling Brush -this brush is a new addition to the EcoTools family. EcoTools says you can creat a flawless, natural look for complete coverage without heavy application. The dual fiber bristles allow for a light blend without streaks, while the distinct shape allows for precise application using less product.  The brush is meant to be used with a liquid foundation ,which I like using sometimes, but I mainly use it with a blush and bronzer. It gives such a natural finish! It is my favorite blush and bronzer brush now!

Flat Foundation Brush- this brush is meant  to apply liquid or cream foundation evenly and smoothly. Well , this brush is really small. You can se in the picture how small this brush is next to the powder brush. It is not necessarily a bad thing if you are patient and have some time to spend on your doing your makeup. This brush is great for covering under eye circles or conceal a larger area on the face or body.

Custom Coverage Buffing Brush- I love using this brush for my liquid foundation! I apply my foundation and buff in as mall circular motion for an airbrushed finish. Just like EcoTools advises you to use it.

Deluxe fan Brush- amazing, amazing ,amazing! It is a multi functional brush with large, fanned head ,and super soft bristles! I use it with a bronzer when I want to do a little contouring ,or with my favorite highlighter. My new HG brush!

If you are looking for a cruelty free brushes , I think EcoTools brand is really worth a try!
